Construction

rethinking construction
from the
ground up

All to often, construction projects are over budget and months behind schedule, costing construction companies and investors millions of dollars.

FlightPath Drones is helping revolutionize the construction industry by saving time and money through drone technology.

construction industry drone applications

FlightPath Drones aerial photography provides a consistent high-quality visual of your construction site, while providing construction professionals with the deliverables they need for their projects.

Drones streamline all your data to create the resources you need to meet your unique goals.

Inspections

The many benefits of drone inspections.

  • Reducing Costs: Drone inspection is more cost-effective than using ground crews or traditional aviation methods such as surveying land via manned aircraft. A majority of inspections are completed without the need for further action, so minimizing the use of expensive equipment and labor can save tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Additionally, reducing the need to work in dangerous conditions can also reduce liability insurance costs.
  • Safety: Often, inspectors must climb hundreds of feet in the air where a fall could be fatal or face hazardous conditions in compact spaces in order to do a step-by-step visual inspection. A drone reduces this risk by accessing difficult locations remotely and checks the integrity of the structure itself. If repairs or physical maintenance is needed, inspectors can determine if it’s safe to climb or if additional equipment is needed.
  • Faster Project Completion Times: From requirements to sign-off, drone aerial imaging makes it possible to keep projects on track and on budget throughout the entire project lifecycle. In addition to exposing issues before they create hazards or delays, drone inspections simplify the compliance documentation and the reporting aspects of a project.
  • Beyond Visual Inspections: Not everything can be inspected visually. Thermal, multi-spectral and topographical views from drone imaging support a variety of advanced inspection tasks. Drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras can detect differences in temperature which may indicate surface degradation, cracks, or other flaws.

Mapping & Surveying

RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) helps mappers & surveyors by providing real-time, centimeter-level accuracy by using a stationary base station or cell towers using NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) to send correction data to a mobile rover.

This real-time processing allows for immediate, accurate data validation in the field, eliminating the need for post-processing and significantly increasing survey efficiency. RTK is crucial for applications requiring high precision, such as cadastral surveying, construction layout, and land mapping.

This data can then be used to create highly accurate 3D maps and models of the scanned area.

thermal imaging

Detect infrared radiation before major problems occur, costing your project both time and money. Create precise mapping for construction sites for more efficient productivity and less waste or materials.

Photogrammetry

High-resolution aerial images can create 3D models to help determine challenges and identify potential flaws in the design, preventing waste of resources.

Our 3D models can keep your team on track with the original design blueprint and show clients what the finished project will look like.

construction Monitoring

FlightPath Drones high-resolution aerial images can regularly track development and progress of the construction site.

These images allow construction professionals to conduct comprehensive safety inspections and quality assurance to make sure building code compliance is being met.
